BIRTH DOULA SERVICES
As your birth doula, I provide you and your partner with continuous physical, emotional, and educational support throughout labor and birth, and for a short period immediately following birth. I am right by the birthing person’s side, offering physical comfort measures (different body positions, breathing, visualization, counterpressure, comforting touch, movement, heat, cold, etc.) as well as encouragement, reassurance, and my undivided attention. I provide an objective (but warm!) viewpoint throughout the whole labor and birthing process, helping the birthing person and their partner know and understand their options so that they can make informed choices and decisions. I also encourage and assist with open communication between the parents and care providers and do all that I can to nurture and empower the birthing person and protect this beautiful and momentous life experience.
